Engineering Disclaimer

The important one — read this first.

ProofStress is an engineering aid, not a substitute for professional engineering judgment.

ProofStress performs casing- and tubing-design calculations (burst, collapse, axial, triaxial, thermal and annular-pressure-buildup checks, and related outputs). It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability.

You must independently verify every result. All outputs are for evaluation and informational purposes only. They must be reviewed and confirmed by a qualified, competent engineer against the applicable codes, standards, regulations, and the specific conditions of your well before being relied upon for any real-world design, procurement, or operational decision. ProofStress does not replace your own analysis, the judgment of a licensed professional, or your duty of care.

The software is under active development and may contain errors. Methods, formulas, default values, and results may change without notice. You are responsible for the inputs you provide and for assessing whether the outputs are appropriate for your use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProofStress is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, ProofStress or its outputs.

By using ProofStress you acknowledge and accept this disclaimer.

Terms of Service

Effective 19 June 2026 · Contact [email protected]

These Terms govern your use of ProofStress (the "Service"), operated by ProofStress ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

ProofStress is a web-based casing/tubing-design calculation tool. It is currently offered free of charge and is under active development; features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time. We offer no service-level guarantee.

2. Engineering disclaimer (important)

The Service is an engineering aid provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and its outputs must be independently verified by a qualified engineer before any real-world use. The full Engineering Disclaimer (and the in-app disclaimer) is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of your agreement with us.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Intellectual property

We own the Service and all its software, calculations, content, and branding. You retain ownership of the design data and inputs you create; you grant us the limited right to store and process that data solely to operate the Service for you.

6. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProofStress will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, or for any engineering, operational, financial, or physical loss arising from your use of — or reliance on — the Service or its outputs. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Early-stage service

The Service is early in development. Data may be lost, reset, or migrated, and features may change without notice. Keep your own records of anything important.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or threaten its security or availability — and we may discontinue the Service at any time. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of ProofStress is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory legal rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
